CS for Atlanta:

Expanding Access and Equity in K-12 Computer Science Education

Who We Are

CSforAtlanta is an ambitious, multi-year initiative that aims to create a thriving, diverse, and inclusive technology economy in the city of Atlanta, by expanding comprehensive and equitable K-12 computer science education pathways and programming across Metro Atlanta.

With support from a diverse group of stakeholders across K-12, higher education, nonprofit, and philanthropic sectors, this initiative aims to invest deeply in transformative computing educational experiences for Atlanta’s students.

The CSforAtlanta initiative is powered by the Kapor Foundation, Constellations Center for Equity in Computing at Georgia Tech, Siegel Family Endowment, Google, and Raspberry Pi Foundation.

Our Goal

Through CSforAtlanta, we aim to expand access to computer science learning opportunities year-round; Expand the pool of computer science educators through a range of professional learning opportunities; Invest in rigorous and culturally relevant programs to build interest, excitement, and engagement in computing; Empower students to examine ethical implications of technology and build more equitable solutions; and Increase engagement with the broader Atlanta community in developing a pipeline of local talent to design Atlanta’s future.
